Abstract

The document establishes a system of graphic symbols, intended for use in the permanent marking of textile articles, providing information essential for their proper care, and specifies the use of these symbols in care labelling. The following treatments are covered: washing, chlorine-bleaching, ironing, dry-cleaning and tumble drying after washing. The document applies to all textile articles in the form in which they are supplied to the consumer.
