The Swiss Association for Standardization (SNV) is the Swiss representative for global (ISO) and European (CEN) standardization, and operates for the benefit of the economy and society. It promotes the development and harmonization of standards, and allows over 2,000 Swiss experts to actively participate in the national and international standardization process. It is divided into seven specialist areas: interdisciplinary standards (INB), machinery, electronics and metals (Swissmem), construction (SIA), roads and traffic (VSS), watchmaking (FH), electrical engineering (Electrosuisse) and telecommunications (asut).

Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry FH

The Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry (Verband der Schweizerischen Uhrenindustrie FH) was founded in 1982 and serves as the umbrella organization of the Swiss watch industry with its head office in Biel. The not-for-profit private association has over 500 members, which represents 90% of all Swiss watchmakers and watch component manufacturers. With the support of its standards committee, the FH coordinates several national, European and international projects in the watch industry.
