This is always a clear violation of copyright. What’s essential is that all users are aware of the legal framework conditions.

Standards with a single-user licence

When purchasing a standard or a standards product via SNV Connect, you receive a personal, non-transferable, single-user licence. The document in question may only be used by the licensed individual and it cannot be distributed further within the company. Standards are protected by copyright law or as trade secrets. If other individuals require access, separate licences need to be purchased. Users are responsible for observing licence conditions, and violating them can have legal consequences.

Standards with a multi-user licence

With an SNV standards subscription, companies can manage their internal users, making it possible for specific individuals to access standards documents. Prices are automatically calculated with the help of saved licensing parameters. Costs vary depending on the scope of use and the number of users. Network licences

When a comprehensive standards library is being made available internally, network licences are an option. With these, you can make standards accessible via the intranet or document management system. To help you comply with licensing requirements, the SNV handles the coordination with the regulator/rights holder of the standards.
